Public Service Announcement: Wheat City Golf Course Open For Season

The Wheat City Golf Course is now open for the 2011 season. Due to the recent high water event the facility will be operating a 9 hole executive course for an undetermined amount of time. The course will include 7 permanent greens and 2 temporary greens. The upper holes are in great shape and the modified course will be challenging for all skill levels.

The Last Day open for the 2010 season is October 17, 2010.

Fall special green fee and half cart $39.00

May 28, 2010: Wheat City Golf Course Joins Golf Canada and Golf Manitoba.
-The Wheat City Golf Course is proud to announce that they have joined Golf Canada and Golf Manitoba. It has been a number of years since the course has been a part of these associations. In being a part of their membership we now offer in the pro shop the new handicap scoring computer which has the official RCGA handicap program. The computer is now up and running and scores can now be entered. Also some other benefits of joining the association is members at the Wheat City Golf Course can now compete in all Golf Manitoba tournaments and events. Please see the pro shop staff for any assistance on these items.

-Brandon Ladies Golf Club presents the Ladies Western Open, Sunday August 8th. Registration, coffee, & muffins at 8 a.m. Shotgun start at 9 a.m. Fee is $65. Please call Isabel at 726-0826 or Dot @ 726-4807 for more info. We are proud to support the Westman Womens' Shelter as our charity.

- The Wheat City Golf Course is pleased to announce that the course is now a participating business of Golfing Grey’s.
Golfing Grey’s is a membership based organization that allows individuals from age 18 to join Golfing Greys and receive.  Members from 18 to 49 are ASSOCIATE MEMBERS and receive all the benefits of regular members discounts and rebates at a number of area golf courses and businesses. Golfing Grey’s members receive a 20% discount on regular greens fees at the Wheat City Golf Course. - Striving to improve the course and building on the momentum of the installation of the new automated irrigation system in 2009, the Wheat City Golf Course will be constructing 2 new greens on the course in 2010. Scenarios and construction details are being reviewed and which greens will be constructed in 2010 will be determined in the very near future. Players can be assured that play will not be interrupted while the new greens construction takes place. The two new greens will be slated to be open in 2011.

- The Wheat City Golf Course is excited to announce that they will now be using the Fore! Reservation system in the pro shop beginning in 2010. This will allow pro shop staff to better serve each customer and will allow golfers the opportunity to book team times online.
